National Recruitment and Selection Specialist –
Urban Teachers is recruiting for a full-time Recruitment and Selection Specialist for the Southwest region. This person should be based in the southwest region, preferably southern California, and will serve as a member of the Urban Teachers National Recruitment Team. The position starts by September 10, 2018.

Role and Responsibilities:
The Recruiter and Selector for the Southwest region is responsible for identifying and attracting outstanding talent to apply to Urban Teachers’ alternative teacher preparation program located in Dallas/Fort Worth, Washington, DC and Baltimore. This includes establishing a significant regional presence for Urban Teachers and its brand in the Southwest region of the country, building key strategic partnerships, recruiting at colleges and universities within the southwest region, and attending/participating in/leading events in the region targeted at attracting candidates to Urban Teachers teacher preparation program. In this role, the Recruiter will develop a regional pipeline of applicants through his/her recruitment efforts and manage the regional pipeline via various efforts focused on converting prospects to applicants.
Additionally, the Recruiter will support the admissions process by participating in applicant interviews in person (select cities) and virtually. This position reports to the Executive Director of Recruitment and will involve extensive regional travel throughout Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado.
